  4. To keep download time to a minimum this shareware version 
  5. is a scaled down or Lite version of ToolBox Pro.  
  6. This program is intended for evaluation purposes ONLY!
  7. You may use this program for 30 days to give it a 
  8. thorough run through before purchasing the registered
  9. version.  I'm sure you'll find ToolBox Pro an indispensable
  10. addition to your VB Programming environment.

  14. Installation:

  16. Run setup.exe from the file manager to install
  17. ToolBox Pro.  This program is compatible with 
  18. VB 2.0 and VB 3.0.  If you have VB 2.0 you will
  19. need a copy of VBRUN300.DLL in your 
  20. Windows\System to run this program.
  21.  
  22. Some people have reported problems with the VB 
  23. installation program on their systems.  The problem 
  24. can usually be tracked down to a screen saver or other
  25. PopUp program causing a conflict.  If you experience
  26. problems with installation, try running the file
  27. vbsetup.exe instead of the bootstrap program.  I've found 
  28. that often this will solve the conflict with the bootstrap
  29. file "setup.exe" without having to turn off those 
  30. screen savers or PopUp programs we so dearly love.

  32. If your using a third party shell such as 
  33. Norton desktop, or PC Tools for windows, 
  34. After the installation is complete you may 
  35. get a DDE error message.  Everything is installed
  36. properly, choose close.  Sometimes these third 
  37. party shells don't process the windows Close DDE
  38. connection properly.

  40. A word about VBx file versions.
  41. In this program or any other VB program 
  42. if you get a "Wrong VBx Version error"
  43. when you start the program, the first step 
  44. you should perform is a search through all
  45. directories in your path for copies of that VBx.
  46.  
  47. VB programs are designed to work with VBx versions
  48. later than the one used to compile the program, but sometimes 
  49. choke on earlier versions.  If you have an older copy of a 
  50. VBx somewhere on your path it may be found and loaded
  51. first causing the conflict and the error message.

  53. Always use the newest version of any VBx and 
  54. delete any old copies, or move them to a directory 
  55. that is not in your path if you wish to save them.
